John R. Funkhouser

     John Funkhouser is a native of Wardensville, West Virginia. He is a 2003 graduate of East Hardy High School. From 2011-2012, he was an associate attorney with Patrick F. Roche in Fairmont, West Virginia. From 2013-2019, he was an associate attorney with Tharp, Liotta & Yokum, LLP in Fairmont, West Virginia. He is admitted to the West Virginia State Bar Association, as well as both the Northern and Southern Federal District Courts. While attending the University of Dayton School of Law, John was awarded the Commitment to Community Award for performing over one-hundred hours of free legal work. He was also awarded Emerging Leader of the Year by the Marion County United Way.
     John handles a wide range of legal issues, from real estate transactions, estate planning, criminal defense, civil litigation, estate administration, and municipal law. .
